Getting high with a room full of strangers and doing yoga, where do I sign up? With the legalization of cannabis on the rise, so follow the trends that are incorporating it’s use into practice. One of the buzziest new trends: cannabis yoga classes. Yoga in and of itself has become one of the most popular trends in the fitness world, but many people use it for just that, a fitness class. The cannabis-friendly classes have the intention to bring the practice back to a meditative, spiritual place.

Cannabis has the ability to induce relaxation and stimulate consciousness, the idea of adding it into one’s yoga practice is that it will heighten the physical and spiritual aspects. It is about enhancing the connection between mind and body. There are even classes geared towards women connecting to their sensuality with the goal of enhancing their orgasms.

It is important to note that cannabis should not be used to push yourself past your physical limits or injuries. While many people use cannabis for pain relief, this could lead to injury when using it combined with exercise. Know your physical limits and don’t push yourself past them.

While some classes are BYO (bring your own), others provide the cannabis. When booking your class, make sure to do your research so you know what you can expect and what you need to bring with you.
